Who Is ECS
ECS - Environmental Care Specialist was founded by two cousins, Leon Pinxteren and Craig Barelds, in 2005.The two of them had worked together previously and recognised that efficient products, using renewable energy were going to be “a way of life” in the not to distance future. Both Leon and Craig were passionate about the environment and rapidly realised things had to change. 
The public were becoming more aware of the environment and their attitude to the way we used energy, were changing. Being from the North of Australia both of Leon and Craig realised the ideal climatic conditions existed for efficient use of solar energy and we were not using this renewable resources that we had an abundance of.
Realising from the start there was room in the marketplace for solar specialists and solar products both the Leon & Craig embraced and felt good about supplying to this marketplace.

By 2006 ECS had developed an enviable record of sales and quality of installation of solar products within the industry. Ecosmart, the solar division of GWA, a very large Australian company and the manufactures the Australian iconic brands, Caroma, Fowler, Dorf, Dux and Stylus approached ECS about taking on an Ecosmart dealership.

From its inception ECS has provided solar energy alternatives to nearly 1000 home in the Cairns, Townsville and Toowoomba greater area, a record the company is very proud of.

Since moving to the new Head Office at 80 Scott Street in Cairns and undertaking a company profile raising program, through local radio, development of our web site and setting up a ECS Rewards Program to encourage everyone in our community to use Renewable Energy resources, business has really taken off and enquiries are at an all time high.
